Media Transasia is one of most diversified and vertically integrated publishing houses across the globe. The gamut of publishing activities include conceptualising new publications, from editorial and design to printing. The group is headquartered in Bangkok, from where it has been continuously publishing over 25 magazines and books for over 30 years. The group has three publishing centres--Thailand, Hong Kong and India.
The magazines being published out of the India office are all market leaders in their own niche segments. The list includes: Discover India, Doc N Doc, Architecture + Design, Travel + Leisure, Maxim, Child, Better Homes and Gardens and Casaviva.
And now Media Transasia has added a few more feathers to its cap:
• MTC Publishing Limited, a joint venture between Ambi Investment Private Limited and Media Transasia India Limited, publishes Defence & Security of India.
• Dennis Media Transasia Publishing Pvt. Ltd, a joint venture between UK-based Dennis International Limited and Media Transasia India Limited, publishes Blender, one of the world’s best known music magazines and Sports Illustrated, one of the world’s most popular sports’ magazines. This company also has a stand alone website, www.knowyourmobile.in and has plans for several more online offerings.
• Media Transasia also has a custom publishing division which produces publications for some of the well-known brands--T-Life, the official magazine for Tupperware. Haute Wheels, the web-based magazine for Honda. Other publications include Gatirang, the official magazine of India’s largest automobile manufacturer Maruti; Maharashtra Ahead, a Government of Maharashtra publication; Dignity Dialogue, a unique magazine catering to senior citizens; Naturalli, an eco-friendly publication for the Orchid Group of Ecotels.
• MTIL has also published about 20 coffee table books. Some of the more recent being India Timeless Splendour, Discovering Goa, Kashmir, Tee Off in India, Khalsa and Bindu.
The worldwide network of offices includes marketing rep offices in USA, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, UAE and the UK (in most European and other Asian countries). The total staff strength is over 400 persons including journalists and editorial staff, photographers, circulation, production, marketing and finance and other support personnel.
